I’m grateful to attend such a diverse school with so many opportunities. The music program is my favorite, but there are a lot of sports and clubs that are accessible for everyone.

Mona Shores had an outstanding balance of the Arts, Academics, and Athletics. They focused on personal relationships and growth with each student.

I have absolutely loved my experience at Mona Shores. I feel as though I can learn in a safe and reliable environment and I know there is always someone around to help if I need it. I am involved in many different sports at Mona Shores and they have allowed me to explore the things I like and meet new people. I also take multiple AP classes here at Shores and I have found the teachers are amazing at motivating kids to do their very best. Although there are some things I would change, like more opportunities, such as a gymnastics and skiing team, overall I would definitely recommend it to anybody looking to come here.

The best part of high school is the opportunity for personal growth, discovering interests, and forming lifelong friendships. However, the worst part can be the pressure to fit in, academic stress, and social dynamics. To improve the high school experience, a focus on mental health support, inclusive environments, and diverse curriculum can make a significant difference. Encouraging open communication, providing more guidance on career paths, and promoting a healthy work-life balance can also enhance the overall high school experience. By addressing these aspects, high school can become a more positive and enriching environment for all students.

I would say that my experience at Mona Shores had been extremely positive! Is is perfect? Of course not, but have had the opportunity to engage in several activities that are unavailable or not up to the same standard at other schools. Additionally, the student and school pride I would say is very high. Because of this, it is apparent that Mona Shores Students are involved and engaged.

I attended Mona Shores since I was in kindergarten all the way through to my senior year of high school. After graduating in 2022 and going off to college, I made many realizations about my time in public school. Overall, my experience seemed fairly average, other than being a part of the symphony orchestra and Celtic music group. My time in the classroom was never desirable as I never found it as enjoyable or logical as learning in a college setting. Additionally, I despised the councilors that never seemed to actually care about my interests as they botched my schedule multiple times. My real motivation to go to school were my friends and the advanced placement classes that helped prepare me for college. All of my friend were involved in the performing arts in some way, as our district put a decent emphasis and budget on the bands, orchestras, choirs, and theater. This allowed use to grow and learn together and provide a respite from the daily tedium of classes.

In the school district there are an amazing teacher board. In elementary school, specifically in Churchill elementary the teachers are very dedicated to their students. Once you get into the middle school and high school the school environment kind of sucks. This is really only coming from a high school senior, so my views are a bit skewed on the maturity level of the rest of the high school. Although I have found some lifelong friends and lifelong teacher friends. I’m thankful for the time that I have spent at Mona Shores high school and I’m thankful for all the other buildings that have meant so much to my siblings. I hope that shores continues to evolve and grow and become an even better place than it is right now. Go Sailors!

There are plenty of opportunities for kids to be involved and express themselves. They have class for every interest and they make sure that students who need extra help get it.

I've been in Mona Shores for the last three years and I've been very pleased with the education compared with my old school. The staff is very helpful and supportive as well. They seem that they really want you to graduate and succeed as you go through school. If I ever recommended to someone looking for a new school to go to, I would heavily recommend Shores!
Go Sailors!

What I like about Mona Shores is the dedication the teachers have to making sure each student is at the best place they can be in their education. Every teacher I have had has gone above and beyond their expectations to help me get to where I am today.

The academics and opportunities this school district offers are outstanding and will always be something I am grateful for. The only complaint I have ever had with this district is the number and strength of cliches. Students are not the only ones that recognize these cliches and I have noticed special treatment in the past. It's really all about who you know at this school.

A good schooler for the arts, uses too much of their budget for athletics instead of the arts department. Had an issue with child exploitation and did almost nothing to reprimand those responsible.

The Mona Shores School District is an excellent school district. This school has high test scores as well as diversity. It has a great music program and lots of extracurricular opportunities. The only change I would like to see is with discipline.

I like the fact that school is the whole community with activities like the Sailor Salute that recognizes military and first responders. Our Choir, Allegros and band are fantastic with excellent experiences for students to travel and experience . we have the world's largest singing Christmas tree. These things make my school inclusive and safe. The teachers are very committed.

It was a very diverse school which I liked. I also like how they always tried to get every kid involved! One thing I didn’t like though was that they cared more about sports than academics
