In order to catch Meltan in Pokémon GO, you will need a MysteryBox, which is received by sending Pokémon from Pokémon GO to Pokémon:Let’s Go, Pikachu! or Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! Oncethe Mystery Box is opened in Pokémon GO, Meltan will begin to appear. Touch aMeltan you see on the field map, and then throw a Poké Ball to catch it!

You can then bring the Meltan you caught in Pokémon GO tothe Nintendo Switch games, where it can follow you around during your adventurein the Kanto region. Even if you don’t catch Meltan in Pokémon GO yourself, youcan ask a friend to send one that they’ve caught to your Nintendo Switch game.

You get Meltan Candies in Pokémon GO by doing things likecatching Meltan, sending it to Professor Willow, or having Meltan travel aroundwith you as your Buddy Pokémon.
